Tea House Mirza Boshi

Nice Uzbek restaurant cool enough with a/c to avoid the heat during daytime. Foods are all good, esp. the Uzbek cabbage rolls. Tasty.

One of our favourite dinners while in Uzbekistan. This place was recommended to us and we were a bit skeptical at first as we were the only ones eating inside but the food was great. We had some top quality shashliks which paired great with their fried aubergine dish. They make their own bread outside in the tandoor which is great. WiFi was great, waiter spoke English and credit cards were accepted. We liked it so much we almost came back the next day.

Nice ambiance, music, and well heated in winter. The best thing in the menu is the homemade bread, however one day we were brought fresh bread, and another a small and cold portion (the oven was working on both days). I wouldn't recommend the plov if you're looking for the traditional experience, as it lacks raisins and chickpeas. However, their version makes for a lighter plov version. Sivit osh and egg dumplings are the better choice. Also, they have a nice select of vegetarian soups. Grilled meat options are a bit expensive, but this applies to all restaurants in the Ichan Wala.

Fantastic service and lovely vibes. Mint tea with honey for 35k was excellent. Baklava and honey cake 4 stars. We wanted tea and dessert and we got it no issues. Note: 15% service charge clearly written on front page of menu.

This restaurant served piping hot bread and you can watch them making the bread outside, just next to restaurant. They also served homemade pasta which was very delicious. Their soup was good too. They also sell souvenirs and blouses in this place. Restaurant is big and spacious with lots of seating areas.

Tea House Mirza Bosh, located within the historic Itchan Kala complex, offers a truly royal and unique ambiance. The restaurant's interior reflects Khiva’s rich heritage, making it a great spot to experience both history and hospitality. The food was excellent, with a variety of vegetarian options available. I tried cauliflower salad, mushroom cream soup, and Shivit Oshi (specially made vegetarian for me)—everything was delicious and well-prepared. The staff was incredibly polite and multilingual, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. The owner was an interesting and knowledgeable person, and I had a long conversation with him about Indian movies and regional history, which made my visit even more memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Khiva!

Decent food although manti and samsa were served warm on outside and cold on inside. But they offer mix and match so can try meat, potato, pumpkin, etc. Fried eggplant was star of the show. Super tastey and served hot. Friendly service. English menu.
